Have you ever wondered if there was more to life than being really really ridiculously good looking?

It's been awhile since I've been commissioned for a pet portrait, so I thought I'd take matters into my own hands.

This is Ophelia. She belongs to my good friends Erika and John. I haven't met her yet, but when I finally do, they probably should make sure to check my purse before I leave their house.

It's a graphite drawing on lightly textured paper, with small, acrylic paint accents. I'm so very happy with how it came out - the fluff, the tangle of limbs that only cats can pull off, the serenity of sleep.

If you want to follow all her adorable shenanigans, and you do, click over to her Instagram page:

(a portrait I created to celebrate Erika and John's wedding)

Ophelia came into Erika and John's lives right after they finished up their ::ahem:: extended honeymoon traveling the world. You can follow all their adorable shenanigans on their blog where they're catching us all up on the trip. So interesting! Forty four countries! I won't spoil anything! But tell them I sent you!
